LHS Wildcat Teams Share in the Spirit of the Season

LHS Wildcat Teams Share in the Spirit of the Season

Spirit Team members, from Stem Magnet Academy and Livonia High School, participated in the Pointe Coupee Council on Aging’s Annual Christmas Party on Friday, December 7th at the Scott Civic Center.   The young men and women who performed with the Varsity Cheerleaders and Junior Varsity Cheerleaders, adorned Christmas accessories with their green and gold uniforms to add a festive touch to their performances.   The students visited with the guests, performed dances, and helped the agency serve lunch to the parish’s senior citizens.  As Saint Francis of Assisi once said, “For it is in giving that we receive.” The students felt blessed to be a part of such a generous gathering.

Family and Consumer Science I and II students also spread some Christmas cheer this season.  As part of their design unit, students designed and created Christmas stockings to donate to students at Valverda Head Start.  The Head Start students were thrilled to receive their stockings!
