Livonia High School opened the 2019-2020 school year as smoothly as ever. All students picked up their schedules on the first day and were in their classes by the 7:30 bell. It seemed as though we just picked up where we left off in May. LHS strives to provide a safe learning environment where students achieve academic success and become productive contributors of a diverse community. In keeping with our mission, our students have opportunities to pursue several career technical areas of certification such as Welding, Carpentry, Automotives, Nursing, and Hospitality and Tourism. Over the course of this school year, we plan to certify all seniors in CPR. In addition, qualifying students also have the opportunity to earn dual enrollment credit through McNeese State University in Lake Charles in US History, World History, Psychology, English, College Algebra, and Statistics. We are excited about providing our students with numerous opportunities to become both college and workforce ready and are looking forward to a great school year.
