UPCE 1st Graders Write Books

UPCE 1st grade students have worked really hard to complete research books about Wild and Endangered Animals. When their books were finally finished, a few of them wanted to share their books with the Kindergarten class to inspire and provoke excitement about going to first grade. The Kindergarteners were so impressed that when they finished reading, the class applauded the presentation. One of them asked, “Did you write that book by yourself?” When they all said, “yes”, with our teacher’s help; the kindergartners once again applauded. The first graders were very proud of their finished books. Their research books not only included much information about wild and endangered animals, but also a table of contents, works cited, and an author’s page. They are now officially First Grade Authors and 100 Days Smarter.
