STEM’s 3rd Graders Learn about Pollination

Student’s in Ms. Batisite’s science class have been learning about the role that insects play in pollinating flowers. In order to gain a deeper understanding of this concept, the students built a simple model to mimic the function of an animal in dispersing seeds or pollinating plants. They used pipe cleaners to mimic a bee or butterfly. The student then transferred pollen from one flower to the next.
