Ms. Taylor Nelson (on the right) attended the Louisiana Literacy Regional Professional Development Tour at the East Baton Rouge Public Library on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.  Pointe Coupee Parish School District continuously has professional development sessions at all of the schools and provides employees with other opportunities for professional development with other organizations. This professional development session was sponsored by the Department of Education, State of Louisiana. Teacher professional development is any type of continuing education for educators. It is one-way teachers can improve their skills and, in turn, boost student outcomes. Not pictured but also in attendance Mrs. Sarah Taylor (Valverda) and Mr. Craig Schwartzenberg (Livonia).
